    Guys
This week’s ride starts at 7:30 am This is the start time from now to mid-Sept.
The ride starts at the Old Walmart parking lot on Oakwood ave. in Napoleon. We will head to Grand Rapids then on to Liberty Center and the Liberty Cafe.
The Short ride starts at the Damascus Bridge and crosses over the the south side and on th Grand Rapids (call and let me know if you are riding the short route so we can look for you.)

    Last week’s report from Keith:
Thirteen riders had a great ride along with beautiful weather. Duane and I rode to the starting point to add a few more miles. Two new riders from Defiance joined us.
We met Gene at Oak Openings and decided to change our route from Waterville to Whitehouse. The breakfast was quick and good.
It must have been a good day for biking because we met quite a few bike groups out for a spin.

The maps are on bikely.com. Search for “NWOPBC” for the ride map (it is #5) and you can printout the cue sheet to take along.

The schedule is also online at DefianceCycling.org

    See you Saturday,

This week’s ride starts at Evansport Meth Church at 7:30am. The ride is 44 miles with breakfast at Vagabond. Short ride is 26 miles and starts at the Legion post at Ney.

Last week Linda and I rode from home to the start. We picked up Dick and Marty along the way. At Four County School, we meet up with the rest of the group and 14 of us started the ride. We picked up Bud in Evansport and headed to Defiance. We made it to Kissners before the rain started. During breakfast, the Mayor stop in and gave us his “Welcome to Defiance” speech. After breakfast we started off in the rain. For Linda and I, it was only 2 rainy miles to home. I understand that the rain quit as the group got north of Defiance.

The maps are on bikely.com. Search for “NWOPBC” for the ride map (it is #14) and you can printout the cue sheet to take along.

Keith will lead this ride, since Linda and I will riding the “Amishland and Lakes” ride in Indiana.

It’s time for “How many hills to Hillsdale” ride to Hillsdale, MI. Meet at the School on the north side of Walden, MI at 7:30 am. Ride is 49 miles.

Last week ride report from Keith:
We had perfect weather for the seven riders that left from Evansport. We met up with Dave Kretzer and his son Cody, south of Ney.

We were in for a big surprise when we arrived at Vagabond, for breakfast. The parking lot was full of vendors selling everything from gently used bicycles to anything your heart would desire. It was part of the worlds longest yard sale located along the US 127 corridor. The sale is a 4 day event that runs 675 miles from Hudson, Michigan to Gadsen, Alabama!

We figured that we should eat a quick breakfast, due to the fact that we had a lot of pedaling to do if we were going to check out all 675 miles of sales. Check out http://www.127sale.com for more information. Maybe next year we will need to bring some trailers.

The maps are on bikely.com. Search for “NWOPBC” for the ride map (it is #15) and you can printout the cue sheet to take along.

    See you Saturday,
    Larry
