Ok So maybe it won’t quite be Interbike, But……….

Team DEFIANCE with Sean Burkey (Raleigh) has put together a night to check out some of the latest cycling hardware.

Sean has corralled some of his contemporaries in the cycling business to give us a look at a new items for 2012. Sean will be bringing a few Raleigh frames to show us, his Kinetic Rep, will be on hand with some Kurt Kinetic Trainers, and his Shimano associate will be bringing a bike with Di2 to check out……

“R” Bike Shop will be on hand.
Kevin Seibert from Archbold will give us a quick outline of his business (bike repair).

You are welcome to look at, try, and ask questions about all this stuff with no obligation to buy.
IF you are in shopping mode for any of these articles, they will be available for sale OR pre order at substantial discounts. (Details still being finalized)

There will be a team DEFIANCE meeting to get things started, then…..enjoy an evening of bike gear and getting together with our cycling buddies.

TEAM PHOTO is the first item for the evening. Bring or wear your team jersey….the first event will be a team photo at 6:30 sharp!!!!!! A local cycling buddy of mine is doing me a favor and taking a team photo for us!!!!

Our team meeting will wrap up the 2011 cycling and Tri season, Review our sponsors for the coming year, Treasurers report, take a look at the races in DEFIANCE next year, club race series, clothing order, any other items that you might suggest AND send to me ahead of time….

On Thursday, 3 of us went to the Maumee Valley Wheelmen race in Colton ( Mic, Jeff, Dave D).
It became the “Mystery Finish” race. on lap 5 the supposed finish line did NOT materialize where forecasted. Then NOT on the next incline (read, Sprint again), then not up the next one, finally it showed up about a mile past where everyone thought. AKA, Mystery finish. When the line arrived, Jeff took a second, followed by Mic and Dave somewhere around 8th /9th. About 12-15 started the “B” race.

Colavita on Sunday.

Dave / Jane took 3rd in tandem.
Mic placed 4th in age group, (30:03) missed 3rd by 3 SECONDS!!!! Oh the places those 3 seconds could have been lost..AUGHhhhhh. Mic is just darn FAST!!!!!!
Larry in 6th,
Jeff in 10th with a 32:10 for 12.8 miles—NICE job Jeff
Dave in 14th in age group.
Marty….I can’t find his finish!
